The Hotel
At Igaliku Country Hotel, you’ll find a cozy atmosphere and comfortable rooms where you can relax after a day of adventures. The café serves Greenlandic dishes that give you a true taste of the region.
You have access to some of South Greenland’s best hiking trails, with two full-day hikes leading you through varied and breathtaking landscapes. You can go fishing at Lake 90, explore the ancient Norse ruins that bear witness to life and activity a thousand years ago, or simply lean back with a book on the terrace and enjoy the view.
Wireless internet (Wi-Fi hotspot) is available at the hotel for a fee, so you can share your experiences or stay connected with the outside world.“We are together with our guests from the moment they wake up until they go to bed. A very special sense of togetherness arises, where everyone just does what feels natural. Guests take things at their own pace—some go for long walks, others enjoy a cup of coffee and the view from the café, while others go fishing or take a dip in the fjord.”

Cabins
If you want privacy and breathtaking views, you can choose one of the six cabins situated high above the hotel. From here, you have panoramic views of the fjord and the wild nature right outside your door.
Inside, you’ll find modern comforts: soft beds, a small table, two lounge chairs, and a private bathroom with hot and cold water, toilet, and shower. The cabins are heated, have electricity, an electric kettle, and complimentary coffee and tea.
Cooking is not possible, but breakfast, bed linen, and towels are included in your stay. Each cabin accommodates two people, and it is possible to add an extra bed.
Guest House
In our guest house, which opened in 2021, you’ll stay in a large log cabin with modern furnishings.
There are four rooms, which can be used as singles or doubles. Bathroom and toilet facilities are shared, with a common bathroom located close to the living room.
Breakfast, bed linen, towels, and complimentary tea and coffee are included. Cooking is not possible, but you can always enjoy your meals at the hotel’s restaurant.

A sun terrace surrounds the house, offering views of the fjord and mountains. Next to the villa is an annex with a double room, which can be added if you need more space. The villa has a fully equipped kitchen, refrigerator, bed linen, towels, and final cleaning included.
Breakfast is not included, but you can prepare your own meals or order food at the hotel’s restaurant, which is just a few minutes’ walk away.

In the village’s only restaurant, which was also renovated in 2021, you can start your day with breakfast, enjoy lunch, and finish with dinner, where local Greenlandic ingredients take center stage.
Two daily dishes are served here, and you can also purchase soft drinks, juice, beer, wine, coffee, tea, homemade cakes, snacks, postcards, hiking maps, and souvenirs.

Greenlandic Summer Cottage Atmosphere
In Igaliku, it feels as if the world slows down and you can truly breathe deeply. Here, it’s easy to settle into a rhythm where the days blend together.
When the rain taps on the window, you can enjoy a warm coffee and good conversation in the café. When the sun shines, the fjord invites you for a swim or a fishing trip, where you might catch your own dinner. There are no fixed plans here, and we recommend taking things at a relaxed pace.
Igaliku Country Hotel is your summer cottage far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, where you can embrace a slower pace and let your shoulders relax.
“The best thing about Igaliku is the extraordinary silence that envelops the landscape like a blanket. We like to say that Igaliku Country Hotel is our guests’ summer cottage—here, there is space simply to be and to take each day as it comes.”
