The Hotel

Deep within Nuuk Fjord, you can experience magnificent glamping in spacious tents with comfortable beds and your own terrace, where you can enjoy the fantastic view over the fjord with a cup of freshly brewed coffee. The area offers a wealth of activities, from hiking in idyllic Greenlandic nature to paddleboarding or kayaking among icebergs in the fjord. Paddleboards and kayaks are available for rent, and it is also possible to purchase a fishing trip during your stay. If you prefer hiking, we also have hiking maps and safety equipment that you can borrow. The guides have excellent knowledge of the hiking opportunities in the area and can advise you on the most beautiful viewpoints.

The journey to the camp begins with an ice fjord cruise, where the boat passes by the abandoned settlement of Qoornoq, and there will also be ample opportunity to spot wildlife along the way. All meals are included in your stay at Camp Kangiusaq. Dinner is prepared with local ingredients and can be enjoyed in the camp’s large mess tent, where breakfast is also served. Every morning, you can sign up for a free guided hike to enjoy the stunning scenery, offering fantastic views that truly take you away from the busy everyday life. There will also be an option to pack a lunch to bring along on hikes in the area.

Departure from Nuuk
Time: 09:00
Place: Tide Water Steps near Hotel Søma, directly opposite the cruise terminal.

Boat Trip to Camp Kangiusaq
Duration: 2-3 hours (depending on ice and weather conditions)
Highlights: Scenic sailing through fjords with impressive views of mountains, icebergs in various shapes and colors, and the possibility of wildlife sightings (seals, humpback whales, sea eagles, and other birds).

Arrival at the Camp
Time: Between 11:30 and 12:30
Arrival point: Wooden pontoon for disembarkation, where a guide will greet you and help transport luggage to the camp.
Lunch: Served upon arrival in the main tent.

Check-in
Time: Tents are ready no later than 13:00
Overview: After lunch, guests can choose between various activities

Place: Communal tent
Details: Dinner prepared in collaboration with Restaurant Tunit (Nuuk). Bar with the option to purchase wine, beer, and other beverages.

Overnight Stay
Tent setup: Double bed or two single beds (can be adjusted), duvets, pillows, and a heater to keep the tent warm.

Breakfast
Time: 07:30 - 09:30
Details: Breakfast with coffee/tea. Guests can pack a lunch for the return journey or for a hike.

Departure from the Camp
Check-out time: No later than 10:00 (or 09:00 if participating in a tour)Luggage: Must be stored in the communal tent by 10:00
