The Hostel

Narsarsuaq Hostel offers a friendly, budget accommodation for travelers who want to experience Greenland’s natural beauty without breaking the bank. Set on a scenic stone plain overlooking the fjord, the hostel is just a short 600-meter walk from the airport and close to popular hiking destinations like Hospital Valley and Flower Valley.

During the summer months, the hostel buzzes with life as hikers and explorers gather to swap stories, plan adventures, and sometimes team up for the next trek.

Rooms

Narsarsuaq Hostel is a spacious wooden lodge with eight dormitory-style rooms, accommodating up to 36 guests in total.

Rooms are arranged with bunk beds for either four or six people, and groups are placed together whenever possible.

Each bed comes with a pillow and sheet, and guests can either bring their own sleeping bag or rent one at the hostel.

Shared bathroom facilities are available, with separate sections for men and women, and extra toilets near the entrance.

Communal Kitchen

Guests have access to a large, well-equipped communal kitchen, complete with all the essentials, two stoves, two refrigerators, and a freezer.

Meals can be enjoyed in the bright dining hall or the comfortable lounge area, which also features a small library and detailed hiking maps.

There’s a small shop on-site for snacks, drinks, and postcards, and laundry facilities are available for a small fee.

Wi-Fi is offered during the peak season.

Camping

For those who prefer camping, you can pitch your tent next to Narsarsuaq Hostel at a reduced rate and still enjoy all the indoor facilities.

Free luggage storage is available, making it easy to set off on day trips or multi-day hikes.

The hostel operates from June to September, with advance reservations recommended in the busy summer months.
