About this tour

GUIDET TOUR

The small island of Uunartoq is located approx. halfway between Qaqortoq and Nanortalik. The spring was known by the Norse, who used the 35-degree Celsius hot water to care and heal sore bodies. Today, the place is visited by both locals and tourists.

From the pontoon bridge where you disembark, a path leads up to a small natural pool just 10 meters in diameter. On cold days it evaporates from the warm water surface.

Uunartoq is wonderfully pristine and unspoiled compared to many places in Iceland with hot springs, and it is amazing to sit in the warm water and watch the icebergs drifting along on the fjord right next door.

The trip includes

  • Round-trip boat transfer between Qaqortoq and Uunartoq Island
  • Approximately 1.5 hours at the hot springs
  • Unique opportunity to relax in a natural geothermal pool

DURATION: 4.5–5 hours

NOTE: Minimum 4 participants required

REMEMBER: Bring your own towel, swimwear, food, and drinks

PRICE: 1.900 DKK / 255 EUR
