Sheep Stalls - a unique visit

Agro-Tourism is a new and developing venture in South Greenland, with about 35 sheep farmers here.

Typically, a sheep farmer also grows potatoes, turnips and other vegetables.
The sheep roam freely in the surrounding countryside during summer, and are kept in the stalls during winter.

Sheep farming is fairly big business in South Greenland and Greenlandic lamb is said to be one of the tastiest, seasoned naturally on a diet of herbs and flowers during summer.

There are a few sheep farms offering stall accommodation for tourists during summer.

The typical capacity of a sheep stall is 2-10 guests.
